SENSIA gives top performance during fugitive emissions tests at TOTAL facilities

SENSIA’s cameras have achieved outstanding results in their first field test scheduled within the GaSeS project. Energy provider TOTAL organised this test at their facilities in Lacq, which was attended by the main actors on fugitive gas emissions detection on industrial sites.

In coordination with key energy companies, SENSIA has arranged a number of tests to validate and verify the maturity of SENSIA’s Optical Gas Imaging system. First of it took place recently at TOTAL facilities in Lacq and brought together the existing techniques on fugitive emissions.

The test consisted of detection and identification of a controlled fugitive gas leak. In addition, control points for the different systems were designated. The complete range on Leak, Detection and Repair technologies available were there, testing their capacities under real conditions.

SENSIA feature its OGI, showing excellent results and standing out for its simplicity and usability of its tool. The test was highly positively assessed by SENSIA engineers, that are already preparing next test under real conditions.

The GaSeS Project was awarded by the European Commission on H2020 PYME Instrument Phase II. Its goal: to transform LDAR in Oil&Gas industry. SENSIA will market an Optical Gas Imaging system affordable, simple and effective that will become a regular tool for technicians and engineers in the field.
