SENSIA’s cameras have achieved outstanding results in their first field test scheduled within GaSeS project. Energy provider TOTAL organized this test at their facilities in Lacq, which was attended by the main actors on fugitive gas emissions detection on industrial sites.
SENSIA’s project GaSeS: The first low cost optical gas imager for fugitive emissions mitigation, increasing energy efficiency in industry, has been recently notified by the European Commission as a selected winner of a Grant on the Horizon 2020 – SME Instrument Phase 2.
For this work, SENSIA developed an innovative system for natural gas leaks detection. The goal was to combine best features of unattended detection (from point detectors) and leaks location from infrared cameras: a 24/7 monitoring semi-autonomous system able to warning and help an operator to detect the leak at its source.
Gas Sensing System for SF6 can be used as a handheld system for punctual inspections, in which an operator carry out a visual inspection of the facilities, circuit, electric installation, etc. from a safe distance or as a fixed system for constant monitoring.
