The research group in charge of Martian dust and gas detection instrument joins SENSIA’s GaSeS project. Infrared Lab of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (LIR-UC3M) is responsible of Dust Sensor instrument, foreseen to be on board of the ExoMars 2020 surface platform.
SENSIA has succeeded in overcoming H2020 SME Instrument Phase 1. This European Program seeks to boost the best strategic plans of innovatives SMEs, thanks to which SENSIA will develop “First low cost handheld infrared camera for fugitive emissions, early detection and location, increasing energy efficiency in industrial plants, infrastructures and utilities” project.
Gas Sensing System for SF6 can be used as a handheld system for punctual inspections, in which an operator carry out a visual inspection of the facilities, circuit, electric installation, etc. from a safe distance or as a fixed system for constant monitoring.
