SENSIA’s scientific team will be at European Researchers’ Night 2017, held in Madrid at Espacio Fundación Telefónica next September 29th and promoted by Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d.
Assistants will be introduced to SENSIA’s GaSeS Project, funded by European Commission H2020’s SME Instrument. To this end, it has been prepared hands-on demonstrations of SENSIA’s infrared camera for fugitive gas emissions imaging. Goal: to explain the scientific and technological ground on gas imaging.
Fugitive gas emissions from Oil & Gas industry are a relevant source of greenhouse pollution. It has been stablished that mean between 30 and 60% of the total carbon emissions in industrial plants.
SENSIA seeks to contribute to a more secure, clean and efficient industrial production chain through affordable and effective Optical Gas Imaging. Integrated into a regular monitoring routine can certainly make a difference on fugitive emissions mitigation.
EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS’ NIGHT
The European Researchers’ Night takes place every year all over Europe. This year, the events will take place on Friday 29 September in over 300 cities.
The European Researchers’ Nights are dedicated to popular science and fun learning. They are a unique opportunity to meet researchers and find out what they do for society, in interactive and engaging ways.
The events are supported by the European Commission as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, which is an EU funding programme to boost the careers of researchers.
